BAMBOODIA是對經濟能力較低的截肢者設計的低成本義肢，踝關節運用竹材的彈性使行走上不費力。包覆殘肢的承筒運用熱塑塑膠的材質，使用者自行加熱軟化包覆成合適形狀。相較傳統，能透過大量製造來降低成本。
BAMBOODIAは低い経済力の人に対しても低価格で負担の少ない義肢です。足首は竹で作ってあるので、竹の弾力が使用者に対して歩く負担を軽減させます。ソケットの材質は熱可塑性プラスチックです。使用者が自分で加熱して、適切な形を作ります。今までの義肢と比較して、BAMBOODIAは大量生産することでコストダウンできます。
Bamboodia is a low-cost prosthetic specifically designed for people with below-knee amputation caused by landmine explosions. The bendable and elastic features of bamboo allow it to fit the curve of human ankles, creating a comfortable and effortless user experience. The polycaprolactone socket allows users to soften it with heat and shape it on their own. Through mass production, the cost of Bamboodia can be significantly lowered compared to traditional customized prosthetic.
